What is The LOST Escape Room?

The LOST Escape Room is an award winning, fun, and immersive entertainment concept in downtown Huntington. It is a real-life game designed for small groups of people. Your goal is simple: work together as a team, testing your wits and skills, to escape from a themed locked room. Each room has a storyline, and you are placed in the story. While the goal is simple, the game is challenging. Getting through the locked door will require finding clues, solving puzzles, cracking codes, and working together. There are many escape games worldwide and in the US. We personally design our own games so you will not see these anywhere else in the world. We hold the distinction of being awarded the 2020 Bullseye Silver Award - Player's Choice Best-In Person Escape Room for our original game, End of the Line! We also finished in the Top 10 in the world in 2021 for the same game!

Am I really going to be “locked” in a room?

No. Your safety is our top priority. The door you go through to enter the room for gameplay is unlocked AT ALL TIMES (This door is not the door you seek to win the game.) The door you need to go through to win is locked. Should you feel the need to leave the room, you are welcome to do so at any time; however, the clock keeps ticking for others in the room.

Are the rooms “scary”?

We are not a haunted house. Our rooms are fun, challenging, and intense. Pressure can mount as the time ticks down, and it can get a little crazy in the rooms! Think of it as being in a movie or story that you have to finish! If a game is scary, it will be noted in the general description of the room.

What if I’m claustrophobic?

They are normal sized rooms and can look like a normal room with hidden items and a scenario to play out. You aren’t in a maze or a closet, and you will have ample space to move around. In over 5 years, we haven't had a person need to leave the game due to this.

Are there cameras and microphones in the rooms?

Yes, we have cameras and microphones in every room to monitor your experience and help you along the way. We can see and hear everything that goes on in the rooms in order to help you and for safety precautious.

What happens if we “get stuck”?

We will be monitoring your progress throughout the escape game. Our game masters will provide some clues if you get stuck; after all, we want you to have fun! Remember, it’s not only about trying to escape the room, it’s about the full experience. Some groups will escape, others won’t. But either way, we want you to have a blast!

What happens if we don’t escape in time?

We will let you out, promise. You don't have to win to have fun.

How do I book a game?

It is best to book your game online or call 3049724070 to guarantee a game and time. We do accept walk-ins if a game is not already reserved and spots are available at that time.

Is there a limit to the number of players?

Our games have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 6 to 8 players, depending on the game. (Our game, Into the Darkness, is a 2 player max) The fewer players you have, the harder the game. All games are private games. You will not play with people you do not know.

Do you have parking?

There is a parking garage directly across the street and also some nearby street parking as well as a parking lot behind us in Huntington (some parking is metered parking and some free parking).

Is there an age limit?

Our games are designed for adults and recommended for ages 16 and up. Players age 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. All rooms are appropriate in content for all ages, but the complexity of the rooms and puzzles could be too difficult for some. A parent or guardian must sign a release of liabilty waiver for anyone under that age of 16.

Are the games handicap accessible?

For the most part, yes. We feel anyone could play our games. There may be an item out of reach, for instance, but that is when another player can grab it. To escape, it takes teamwork. If you need assistance, we can help.

Can you accommodate large parties or corporate events?

Yes, we accommodate large parties (sports teams, birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette, etc.) and corporate groups frequently, and rooms can be reserved online. If you would like help booking your large group event or would like to rent out our facility at a premium, please email us at [email protected] to receive a custom quote.

Is an escape room a good team building experience?

Yes! It is a very good tool to help work together closer than ever before. Visit the team building page for more information.

How long is each game?

Each game is designed from one hour to 90 minutes of intense fun or more! Plan to spend 15 minutes prior to each game preparing and briefing, and 15 minutes after each game to debrief and take photos. Prepare for at least 90 minutes!

What time should I arrive and do I need to bring anything with me?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking for prep and briefing. We do have to keep a very strict schedule, so if you arrive late you may not receive the full time in your room. If you have a group or party, please make sure everyone arrives 15 minutes early. You do not need to bring anything with you except friends and the anticipation of fun! We will provide some clues within the rooms to help you try to escape. Before your game, we'll ask you to fill out a quick waiver that is required to play.

What if there are issues during the escape experience?

Our Gamemasters are exactly that, masters of the game. They will help you as much as possible but it is also at their discretion as to what corrective actions are needed. If players are disruptive, destruction, or in an altered state of mind, they can and will be removed from the game immediately. We do have video and audio of every game to monitor the experience for the safety of all customers, so remember they can see and hear you at all times.

Can I take videos or pictures in the rooms?

Sorry, but we ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos in our escape rooms. We own the content in the rooms and the stories. We want to keep our rooms as unique as possible. You can take pictures in the designated areas only (lobby and prep room).

Do you offer refunds?

All of our games are non-refundable. However, we can reschedule your game if you contact us at least 4 hours prior to your game start time. No exceptions. Your credit card will be charged in case of a no show.

Where are you located?

We are in downtown Huntington and the address is 803 3rd Avenue, Huntington WV, 25701. We are in the building that is diagonally across the street from the Mountain Health Arena, one block from Pullman Square.  (Be careful when using a GPS so that it doesn't take you to another location and that you are headed towards downtown Huntington).

Do you offer gift cards to purchase?

Yes! We are happy to offer gift cards. A gift card redeemable online for an escape room experience makes a great birthday gift or stocking stuffer! These are available to purchase on our website or in store!

How hard are the games?

The games are challenging or you would be able to get out quickly, which is no fun. If everyone escaped, it would also not be fun. Our success rate for escaping the rooms are estimated from 30% to 55%, depending on the game. You will be able to see which games are the hardest and easiest by reading over the summary and rating of each room. There are things in the rooms that most people have not seen before. All puzzles can be solved from inside the rooms with no outside help.

So the games are challenging, but are they fun?

Yes, definitely. You are part of the story, like being Indiana Jones or Sherlock Holmes. In a world that has gone digital, it feels good to do something in real life with friends! There's no gurantee you will win, but you will have fun.

Where Do I Redeem My Gift Card?

Book your game then go to your checkout cart. Here you can enter your Gift Card code below the total price for the room and it will credit you total or bring it with you to redeem. (Gift cards and coupons cannot be used during private events).

Are you on social media?

Yes! Be sure to follow us on all formats. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TripAdvisor, and Snapchat
